Creating a Generic Recall Template

In order to print out the recalls when they fall due, you first need to create a Merged Letter Template. You can have as many different types of letters as you like. For example, you may have a specific letter template for Pap Smear recalls, and a different template for Fluvax recalls.

 

You can also create a generic recall letter which simply states the reason for the recall and the due date.

 

To do this, create a new letter template. For instructions on how to do this, please refer to the Merged Letter Templates chapter.

 

Use the Expressions Tab to reference the Recall Reason and Recall Date fields,

so that the text of your letter might read something like this:

 

"Our records indicate that you are due for «[Recalls]Reason» on «[Recalls]Due Date»".

 

Note: When you are entering the reason it's a good idea to make it so that it will appear natural in this sentence.
