"Post-Invoice" Claiming and Deleting |

From time to time it may be required to create a Patient Claim after a normal invoice or receipt has already been generated. This is achieved from the Account History window. There are two buttons on this window: Create Patient Claim and Delete Patient Claim.
To create a new patient claim, select the services which you wish to include in the claim and click the Create Patient Claim button. This will open the Create Patient Claim window from which you proceed as if you were creating the claim during the invoice or receipting process. Same Day Deleting Should you wish to retract a Real-Time Patient Claim after it has been submitted to the HIC, this is possible using the Same Day Delete function. As it’s name implies, this function can only be used on claims on the same day on which they were created.
Same Day Delete is performed from the Account History window using the Delete Patient Claim button.
To delete a claim, select one of the services in the claim and click the Delete Patient Claim button. You will be prompted to confirm the deletion of the claim (or claims if more than one is encompassed by the selected services). If the delete request is confirmed a reason for performing the deletion must be selected from the supplied list.
The claim will then be deleted or an error indicating why the claim could not be deleted will be returned. |
